A third party opinion, please…

Found taped to my door upon my return from a 3.5 hour drive from State College:

“Neighbors,

Our mother passed away this week. We plan to host a memorial reception in her backyard this Sunday from 2:00 – 6:00. Her backyard is adjacent to your back porches. We would appreciate any courtesy you could extend during this time. Please minimize usage of your back porch during this time.

Am I the only one that finds this note from neighbors I’ve never met a bit rude?

I would go Judge Judy on their ass. Two dollars for the pain; three thousand for the misery.

    hmmm, that is very strange!

it would be understandable if they had just given you a note to explain what was happening and trust that being grown adults, you would know enough not to run around in your underwear.

BUT, the note didn’t need to contain that last line… and probably even the line before it! they should’ve been extending their apologies.
and out of sympathy and common sense, everyone would have respected the afternoon.

but people are completely retarded! what else can i say.
    and i’m rambling.

so you survived the weird backyard party/mourning?
