Neighborhood History
The Neighborhood History section of the community website was created in order to create a comprehensive picture of life in Allegheny West across time. Leveraging researched histories of the historic homes, the early days and famous inhabitants are profiled. A narrative telling of the middle history during Pittsburgh’s downturn bridges the divide to modern times. Here, interviews help talk about accomplishments of the civic council and life in Pittsburgh’s smallest neighborhood.
